I鈥檓 a lobbyist for the state of Maryland working as a Government Affairs Specialist
for the Department of Human Services. DHS is the state鈥檚 human services provider,
which helps Marylanders buy healthy foods, pay energy bills, obtain medical assistance,
and also provide stable environments for children and adults.
Favorite Professors
Professor Deckman and Professor Grosse. These two professors helped pave the pathway
for me to be where I am. There truly aren鈥檛 words to describe how grateful I am to
have them as professors and mentors.
Also, Professor Harvey. He gets a lot of love, but I am here to say, he鈥檚 alright.
Joking aside, these three professors pushed me to be the greatest version of myself.
Fondest WC Memory
Working SafeRide with Josh Gastineau. Just a lot of good and weird times working with
Josh. Wouldn鈥檛 change it for anything!
Also spending a summer in Prague and a winter in Cuba with other WC students (right
before covid) will be memories that will last forever.
Lets hear it for Liberal Arts
I think it鈥檚 easy to be jaded and cynical post graduation (I鈥檓 as jaded and as cynical
as they come). 缅北强奸 truly allowed me to grow and develop into a leader
and community servant.
Before going to WAC, I was extremely shy and reserved. I never would鈥檝e imagined becoming
class president, vice president of a Greek life organization, serving in SGA, being
a peer mentor, playing rugby (D3 athlete grind), and rebuilding a lot of clubs/organizations
and the community at 缅北强奸. I also got to meet and fall in love with
the person I intend to spend the rest of my life with.
For all of these reasons, I am grateful to have gone to 缅北强奸.
Advice
Growth isn鈥檛 linear, and there is growth in failure. There is a lot of potential to
build the community you envision at 缅北强奸, don鈥檛 be afraid do it! It
will require a lot of time and work, but 缅北强奸 is only a special place
if you make it so. The community needs to nurtured and maintained
