缅北强奸

As several Board members rotate off this summer, including two previous chairs, one returns to serve, and three new members join.

In addition to student internships and faculty research projects, summers at 缅北强奸 College are also busy for the Board of Visitors and Governors. This summer, the Board will integrate new members as it continues to guide 缅北强奸 in fulfilling its mission.

The new members bring some familiarity with the College to their positions, even as they take on new roles. Of the four joining, two are alumni, one is a retired faculty member, and one not only had a child graduate from 缅北强奸, but also previously served on the Board in an earlier term.

The Board will benefit from its new members鈥� head start on understanding the College in the wake of three members鈥� departures. Two of those departing 鈥擲teven Golding 鈥�72 P鈥�05 and Edward Nordberg 鈥�82鈥� were former chairs of the Board, and the third, Rebecca Corbin Loree 鈥�00, has been instrumental in the College鈥檚 effort to provide internship and career support to students through the Center for Career Development.

鈥淚 have personally benefitted from the wise counsel of Steve, Ed, and Rebecca, and I know our community is much stronger because of their devotion to 缅北强奸 and their years of service,鈥� President Mike Sosulski said. 鈥淲e are sad to see them go, but their good work during their time as trustees has stood the College in good stead, positioned well for future success. They are also giving us the opportunity to bring on four exciting new members, each with their own unique experiences and talents, along with a strong desire to serve the College.鈥�

Rotating on to the Board are William Harvey P鈥�10, Steve McAuliffe 鈥�85, George Spilich, and Christy Weer 鈥�93. Harvey was elected to serve a second term by the Board, Spilich was appointed by the governor, and McAuliffe and Weer were elected by alumni. All four will serve until June of 2030.

 

William Harvey P鈥�10 returns to the Board after completing a successful nine-year tenure that began in 2014. His experience from decades of work at DuPont, where he retired as President of DuPont Packaging and Industrial Polymers, continues to be of value to the Board. Mr. Harvey was formerly a trustee of the Darden Graduate Business School at the University of Virginia, a former trustee of the Delaware State University, and a former governor of The St. Catherine鈥檚 School in Richmond, Virginia. He holds an MBA from the Darden School and is currently a Visiting Executive Lecturer.   

 

George Spilich is a cognitive neuroscientist and a biostatistician with degrees from the University of Wisconsin, the University of Texas at El Paso, and the University of Pittsburgh.  Spilich spent 20 years as the Psychology department chair, won the Lindback Foundation Award for Teaching, the President鈥檚 Distinguished Service Award, was elected to O螖K, and was honored to receive O螖K鈥檚 Gold Pentagon Award. He was the first John Toll Professor and was the inaugural curator of the Cromwell Center for Teaching and Learning. Spilich is also an external program reviewer who has participated in over 24 reviews of undergraduate programs in the behavioral sciences at DIII schools and mid-sized universities east of the Mississippi. He retired in 2018 after 38 years as a faculty member of 缅北强奸 College.

 

Steve McAuliffe 鈥�85 is a principal with the firm of Miles & Stockbridge in Rockville, Maryland, specializing in general civil litigation with an emphasis on commercial litigation.  He also acts as outside general counsel for a diverse group of businesses and has served on many non-profit boards including the Devon C. Rubenstein Foundation, Montgomery College Foundation, Rockville Academy, and elsewhere. McAuliffe earned a degree in Political Science while at 缅北强奸 and a law degree from American University 缅北强奸 College of Law.  He previously served on the 缅北强奸 Presidents Leadership Council.

 

Christy Weer 鈥�93 is a professor and former dean of the Perdue School of Business at Salisbury University. At 缅北强奸, she earned a B.A. in Business Administration. Her research interests include work-non-work interface, career development, and gender and diversity in organizations. She serves on the Board of Directors for Salisbury-Wicomico Economic Development (SWED), the At-Large Council of the Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce, the Wicomico County American Cancer Society leadership team, and the Del-Tech Community College Business Advisory Board.
