Ã山ǿ¼é Scholars Program

The Ã山ǿ¼é Scholars Program was developed to provide the benefits of a Ã山ǿ¼é College education to Maryland and Ã山ǿ¼é D.C. residents who may not otherwise have the opportunity because of substantial financial need. Ã山ǿ¼é Scholars receive full tuition and fees, as well as room and board. While relieving financial concerns is a major benefit, the College recognizes that there is more to a transformative college experience than financial resources; hence, Ã山ǿ¼é Scholars is a program, not merely a scholarship.

The Ã山ǿ¼é Scholars Program provides students with a sense of community as they traverse their four-year journey from Ã山ǿ¼é student to esteemed alumni. Intentional programming, cultural excursions, mentorship, and workshops are just a few of the many benefits that Ã山ǿ¼é Scholars enjoy.

Ã山ǿ¼é seeks high-performing students who are passionate about and dedicated to their academic and extracurricular pursuits. Beyond academic achievement, successful applicants will have demonstrated a willingness to continue to grow and to help shape the future of the College into a richer experience for all students.

Prospective Ã山ǿ¼é Scholars must be nominated by their high school counselors, community-based organization leaders, teachers, or their admissions counselors in order to be considered. All nominated students must reside in Maryland or Ã山ǿ¼é D.C. Students selected to interview for the scholarship will be invited to campus for an academic experience, campus tours and lunch, as well as the interview.

The following completed application materials must be submitted by January 1, 2025.

Prospective Ã山ǿ¼é Scholars must also complete their FAFSA by January 20, 2025.

  • February 3: Program nominees notified
  • February 16: Scholarship essay due
  • February 18: Finalists notified and invited to campus
  • March 2-3: Overnight Scholars Program
